Gaither and Associates Realtors Staff Members Of Melton Company Attend Seminar “One Great Day", a real estate seminar conducted by the Hall Institute of Boston, Maas., a a national real estate group comprised of over 80 member firms throughout the U.S., was attended this past week by the entire staff of the Melton Com pany, Realtec, of Brevard. The objectives of the group are to professionalise the real estate industry and to aid and enhance the daily operations of all institute member firms. The purpose of the Colum bia meeting was to further the goals of members in the Caro lines, Georgia and Tennessee. The seminar program featured lectures titled, “Know Thy Pro fession”, “Know Thyself*, “Know Thy Seller”, and “Know Thy Buyer”, as well as general “brainstorming” sessions relat ing to overall real aetata in dustry problems. Robert W. Melton, president of the company, said attendance at the one day program was moat enlightening and reward ing for his firm’s employees. The Melton Company is the only N.C. member of the Hall Group at the present time, but this will be changing shortly as the group expands, Mr. Melton said. He continued that the group’s educational program includes a series of classes and institutes designed for both the beginner and the experienced real estate broker to further improve his knowledge and techniques in servicing his clients. Adult Center Announces Fall Quarter Registration The Adult Learning Center announces the Fall Quarter registration with a larger than ever selection of courses. “Choose from five Foreign Languages, a large selection of Business courses including Power Typing and Personal Shorthand, brush up on a col lege course or prepare for the High School Equivelency Ex amination and much more,” Center officials state. There are over 260 programs to choose from on a variety of subjects and levels. The Adult Learning Center is now open week days, except Thursday, from 8:00 a. m. to 9:30 p. m. “You may set up a study time that is convenient for you as the Adult Center is a study center which offers adults a new way to learn. There are no lectures, no scheduled classes, and NO FEES. Self study materials, teaching ma chines and a director on duty help you learn as you have never learned before,” they continued. The Adult Center is sponsor ed by Blue Ridge Tech in co operation with Brevard College. The Center is located in the McLarty • Goodson Budding of Brevard College. This is the first building on the right at the main entrance to the cam pus.
