The Queen will be selected From the court by members of the basketball teams. Dr. Tom Corts, president of Wingate College, Wingate, will be the visiting speaker Sunday morning at the 11 o’clock service at Mt. Moriah Calvert Baptist Church. All high school students and youth of the community are invited to attend a “get-to gether” Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Don Dixon. Dr. Corts will discuss campus life with the young people. The regular monthly singing 5 be held Sunday night at 7 ock at Zion Baptist rch. Bob Ensley and the Gospeleers of Sylva and several groups from Balsam Grove will be the guest singers, according to an an nouncement from the pastor, the Rev. J. K. Pressley. The Rev. Pressley also announced that a successful Bvtist Men’s Day was held Sunday and a January Bible Stydy on the Book of Acts was concluded Wednesday night at the church. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Galloway of Leicester were Friday guests of the former's mother, Mrs. W. O. Galloway, Sr., who is in Transylvania Community Hospital and of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dishman in Rosman. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitmire of Marion spent the weekend with the former’s mother, Mrs. H. P. Whitmire and his nephew, Jimmy Weaver. The hike planned to Devil’s Court House by the MYF of the Rosman United Mtthodist Church has been postponed to next Sunday at 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Smith were called to Sylva Monday due to the death of the for mer’s uncle, Lee Ledford.
