The patients are obliged to eat with spoons. Glassware is unprohibited, and they drink from heavy -china cups. While eating they aro watched by attendants, whose duty it is to see that they do r ot takt? away unythicg from the table when tbe meals are. over. In order to doubly sure of this, e very spoon nd piece of crockery is counted uifore and after each meal. IMwoen meals these articles aro kept itmh-r lock and key. About aa hour after breakfast and dinner the patients aro taken for their daily exerti.-e in the nsylum grounds, accompanied by attend ants.
