Four new copper circuits are being strung to Asheville, two of which are about complete. The demand for telephone com munications has greatly increased re cently with the beginning of work on the Lake Lure dam, which is to be 104 feet high, with a boulevard across the top. The shore line of Lake Lure will be 27 miles in circum ference. Included in the general plans is provision for a relocated highway on the side of the mountains 75 feet above the present state high way, which will be inundated by the waters of Lake Lure. It will require a year to complete the work in which hundreds of men are now employed. ARE YOU GOING TO BUILD?— See Flack Hardware Co., Forest City, for your Lime and Cement.
