Mr. John McCraw and family of Cliffside, have moved in this commu nity. We are glad to have them with Mr. Charlie Lee is moving near Smith's Grove churcn. They will be greatly missed. Mr. Thomas Blanton has bought a new Ford sedan. Those visiting at Mr. John Mc- Craws Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Green White, and Mrs. Alton Jollcy, from Mt. Misses Jessie and Ruby Stacey, had as their evening guests Sunday, Misses Gladys Chatman and Bernice McCraw. Mr. Bud McDaniel is visiting near Washburn this week. Messrs Chivous Padgett and Claude Harrill, who spent the Christmas holi days with home folks, returned to their school at Wake Forest Wed nesday. Misses Ruth and Alice Harrill en tertained a number of their friends with a pound supper Tuesday night. Everyone present reported a nice time. Those visiting at Mr. Ship Harrill's Sunday were Mr. W. A. Bridges and family, Mr. Sherman Padgett, Miss Esther Bailey and Mr. Henry 'Wells. Miss Xantippa Padgett spent Sun day with Miss Eunice Diegh. PHILLIPS * Milk . of Magnesia RUTHERFORD BUYS 2,107 AUTO TAGS 0 Rutherfordton, Jan. 3. —A total of 2,107 auto license plates were sold here from December 16 through De cember 31, according to Roy Hynter proprietor of the Hunter Automobile Co., distrbutor of license plates. Tuesday, was the big day, 442 plates being sold that day which netted the State Department of Revenue $6,816.76.
