W, Bailey, haa called a Temperance Convention to meet in Ral eigh on January the 19th' 1905 and he requests that every local league send at least two --delegates and that every local Ooauty Executive Committee be represented by at least one of its mem bers aud if possible that the entire cuil! mittee go. Mr, B ily says : This meeting will either carry our cause forward or let it back ; will either confirm the prestage gained by our victoriis these two years or create the impression, that we are careless and over confident ; well either follow these victories with a sweeping triumph or with reaction and loss. All depends upon the representiveness and the enthusiasm and the vigor of the meeting itself, My desire and expecta tion is that we shall have one of the greatest in the States history.
