Another matter that attracted
considerible attention was a mis
understanding relative to the
road construction for Carteret
county. J. F. Duncan, Jwho was
appointed by the board to go be-
fore the the State Highway com.
mission with the Chairman of
the JJoard of Commissioners
made.a very full report. The
main contention was relative to
the matter as to whether or not
road should be built from the
Craven line to Morehead City or
from the Craven line to Beaufort
The report shows that it was
, the real and original intention of
1 the Chairman and the board as
whole to have the" road built
from the Craven line to Beaufort
and this will, in all probability.
