This year it5s-of a classy quality, the snap and ginger of Broadway, broad humor, boisterous fun, yet all in good taste. One of the best niusl- ca comedies, a real product. All re- ^ised. new features added, bigger, grander than over, tnts year. Where in this country is it necessary to enter into who and what Buster Brown is? Every one knows R. F. Outcault’s car toons too well and the announcement that this musical comedy will be seen here brings forth but one qticry: "What sort of a performance wia It be? Every one knows the name— what will Its presentation offer? First, It is said to be the best company ever offered or gathered together for the play, a cast headed by Master Reed, the real “it” as a Buster—then new scenery and costumes, with new songs and inusic will be the features. What more can the amusement seeker ask? “The Nigger.” "A company of superior merit” is the best term to apply in speaking of the cast that will i)resent “The Nig ger,” Edward Sheldon’s great race problem play that was the one big hit last sea.son at the New Theatre, New York, and which will be made known at the Academy of Music Saturday matinee and night, Jan. 14. Whon Wm. A. Brady secured this play for a country-wide tour this sea son, he personally selected the play ers that were to present this great play “on the road, and In an inter view a few days ago with a reporter from one of the big New York papers, raid it was one of the most evenly balanced casts he had ever assembled.
