M.GEORGE WRITES Stockholders Urged To At tend Meeting of Big Creek Telephone Co. On De cember 15th. Francisco, Nov. 11, 1915. To the Stockholders of the Big Creek Telephone Company : You will notice in this issue of the Reporter that Dr. J. T. Smith, of Westfield, has called a meet ing of the stockholders of the Big Creek Telephone Co. to be held at Big Creek Primitive Baptist church on the 15th day of December next, at U o'clock a. m., for the purpose of paying McGehee Company's Art Department. We have a complete line of crochet ing material, also full line of stamped goods. Visit this department and let us show you the nicest things. McGehee Company, Madison, N. Carolina. J. W. Best Lighted, Best Situated and Best Prices. Stokes, Surry and Patrick counties tobacco sells higher, because it is better and all the manufacturers know they get only this tobacco in Mt. Airy. They all have buyers here and with our long experience and hard work we can make it pay you to sell with us. BANNER & LOVILL, Mount Airy, - N. Carolina. up our assessment caused by R. L. Nunn. Now, gentlemen, I have paid oIY all judgments, lawyers fees and all private fees to date and bought all lines and switchboards and I did it for only one purpose and that was for the respect I had for my county and the Big Creek Telephone Co. I saw it was gone if some one did not take care of it. Now it is in the best shape for all hands and if you will just lay down prejudice and things that are always hurt ful to men and come together as I want you to do you will have the cheapest telephone system and the best one to be found anywhere. Otherwise you will , have nothing and if you ever do l it will be at big cost. There is :no property that I know of that pays better on its cost than a phone. Now, I want you at every switchboard to call a meeting and pick three of your best men and a secretary and elect them as directors and let's separate the system into seven officers at each switch to take care of the lines and switchboards, and then keep up the lines and con nect the whole system together by blank lines as one sys tem. Now, gentlemen, I am going to give it to you if you will have it upon payment of the assess ment and if there is any one of you that don't want your stock please let me kt.ow, and if you can show me that I or any one except R. L. Nunn has mistreat ed you come to me and I will give you your stock. Now, fix up your lines and put good batteries in your phones and make your by-laws as you want them. Don't expect some one to do it for you. I have looked up the whole cost of the Big Creek Telephone Co. and all told it has cost from the start over $13,000, and evsry share of stock in it today is worth $30.00 including vour phone. Now, gentlemen, use your own judgment and do as you like about paying my money back by the first dav of June, 191 G. Those who fail to pay will go off the line on that date and sacrifice their stock. You will have no one to blamo and if you can find one except R. L. Nunn I will give you the assessment. If anyone can't understand this letter and wants more infor mation write me and I wi'l take pleasure in giving it to you. I am not going to build any ph)ne lines or repair anything without your part of this. One dollar each year to the switch boards don't keep up lines, poles and switchboards, pay officers and all other expenses. 1 want a set of men that are willing to pay their part and if you are not I had rather you would go off the line, for all honest men are willing to pay their part of any thing. They know it is just and honest. I don't want any man to do any more than I do myself, and if all will do this we will have something. Now stay with me, brother, and let's fix up these lines and elect our best men as officers and pay them for their services and feel good over it. Meet me at the church on the 15th of December. Your humble servant, R. W. GEORGE. Beware of Ointments for Catarrh That Contain Mercury as mercury will surely destroy the sense of smell and completely derange the whole system when entering it through the mucous surfaces. Such articles should never be used except on prescrip tions from reputable physicians, as the damage they will do is ten fold to the good you can possibly derive from them. Hall's Ca tarrh Cure, manufactured by F. J. Cheney & Co., Toledo, 0., contains no mecury, and is taken internally, acting directly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of the system. In buying Hall's Catarrh Cure be sure you get the genuine. It is takgn inter nally and made in Toledo, Ohio, by P. J. Cheney &. Co. Testi monials free. Sold by Druggists. Price 75c per bottle.
