II. Aiken. Therefore, be it resolved, That Ca tawba Lodge No. 51 at its gathering on the night of July 5, 1917, do express the sorrow we each feel in the inestimable loss of a valiant and worthy brother and Knight, one who was ever ready to respond to any call for help and support, and one who did in his life time many things of credit to the order. It is further resolved, That our brotherly sympathy be extended to Mrs. Aiken and her three sons and daughter whose loss in a husband and father we never can know, that w-e express to them our fullest apprecia tion of the value and high esteem in which the departed was held by the lodge. That we individually bow our heads with the family in recognition of the mandates of our Heavenly Father. That a copy of these resolutions be ppread on our minutes and a copy be sent to Mrs. J. II. Aiken and family, and that the same be pvjbishcd in Caroline Pythian and the papers of Hickory. C. C. POST, R. L. HEFNER, II. P. WILLIAMS, Committee. ACK IS MADE SOUTHER By the Associated Press.
