Tho stockholders of the First Na
tional Bank of Monroe held their an
nual meeting at the banking house
January lUth. A semi-annual divi
dend of 5 per cent, was declared by
the directors on January 1st and
checks were mailed to all the stock
holders at that time. After paying

her parasol before sho realized that
her seat was vacant.
