Pool reported cap ture of three stills since Tuesday of last week. The first was a 70. gallon capacity, copper outfit at Nebo Tuesday. About 15 gallons of liquor were de stroyed. He said a white man and a negro man fled as the officers ap proached. Saturday afternoon the Sheriff, Willard Toney, Mark Toney, Robert White, Carl Hall and Richard Loftis captured a steam outfit and destroy ed three gallons of beer near Bea man mountain. Pool, Mark Toney, Earl Sebas tain and Carl Hall were accompan ied by federal Alcohol Tax Unit officers in the capture of a 30-gal lon copper still in the Dysartsville section. Defendant was sen tenced to two years on the roads; present sentence not to go into ef fect except upon motion of the so licitor at any subsequent term of this court within the next five years, and upon satisfactory proof that the defendant failed to pay costs of the action or that he has invaded or in any manner trespassed or interfer red with the premises of Ed Snipes or allowed his children to trespass upon the Snipes property. State vs. Roy Elliott, possession of illegal whiskey, the defendant plead guilty of possession and was ordered to pay $25 and costs and was sentenced to 60 days on the roads, present sentence not to go into effect except on motion of the solicitor at any term of court within five years upon proof that defend ant has been guilty of violation of the prohibition or liquor laws of the state. State vs. Roy Curtis, MJcKinney and Ayers, the court adjudges the defendants were guilty to selling milk in McDowell county without the permit required by law and it is ordered and adjudged that de fendants pay costs of the action, j Notice of appeal was given and bond set at $100.
