Annual Reception and Hall to le Made Winter's JMoat llril liant Social Function. 15 ANNE U season is be ing planned by the local club of rnerry-makers,the "Tin Whistles," which was outlined fully at an enthusiastic and the first meeting of the season, held last Friday. Not only will there be the usual golf tournaments, smokers and social events, but many new features are planned. The program of stated golf tourna ments will begin Wednesday afternoon, December 20, and continue throughout the season, appropriate trophies in the way of cups, medals, etc., being awarded by the club in addition to a number of December 27 Medal Play Handi cap, for the A. I. Creamer cup. January 3 Medal Play Handicap, with club cups for the two best net scores. January 10 Medal Play Handicap and Ball Sweepstakes, with club cup for the best net, two-thirds of balls for second, and one-third for third best net scores. January 24 Medal Play Handicap, with club cup for the two best net scores. January 31 Medal Play Handicap, for the G. Lee Knight cup for the best net, and club cup for thesecond best net scores. February 7 Medal Play Invita tion Handicap for Women, with club cups for the best net and best gross scores. February 10 Second Annual Mon key Tournament, (Ball Sweepstakes). Captains will be appointed for teams of not more than six each, the clubs which they will use being selected by lot. Additional attention is to be given to the social side and plans for the annual reception and ball are already in the hands of a committee. For two years past this has taken the form of a rustic german, but a marked change is pro posed this year which the members hope will make this annual gathering the most brilliant function of the season. The date set is Wednesday, March 21st. No set plans have been made for the smokers and other informal gatherings of the members and their men friends, but these will be arranged from time to time as occasion arises. Many of the members of the old board of governors will return, in fact many are already here, but the selection of a president is a matter which is receiving careful consideration. PROGRAM in detail. The full progtam of regular or stated events, is as follows : December 20 Medal Play Handi cap, for the T. B. Cotter cup. bers of the teams and the club each player will use, will be decided by lot. The winning team will divide the entrance balls. February 21 Medal Play Handi cap, for the H. AV. Priest cup for the best net, and club cup for the second best net scores. February 28 Medal Play Handi cap, Mixed Foursomes. Members will select paitners, and cups will be awarded to the couple making the best net score. March 7 Medal Play Handicap and Ball Sweepstakes, for the Her bert L. Jillson cup for the best net, two thirds of balls for second and one-third for third best net scores. March 14 Medal Play Handicap, for club cups for the two best net scores. March 21-24 Third Annual Tut Whistle Championship. Eighteen-hole Qualification round, with medal for best score. Tin Whistle Championship cup for the winner and medal to the runner up in the first sixteen ; consolation cup to winner of division made up for those fail ing to qualify for the first sixteen.
