It is there, at the Highland Pines Inn, or one of the many hostelries with open doors and cordial welcomes that we drive to tea, or arrange our dinner party. And above all else, it is to the famous open house upon the hill that occasionally we have the time of our life among the gath erings of the sportsmen following the pink coats and the chorus of the pack. The Weymouth drag hounds or our neigh bor, Jim Boyd, are the delight of the district and the center of all our joyful days a-horseback. All this is self-evident. But we have observed to our astonishment and regret that we have been in divers cases cred ited with this wonderful hunt, in the pages of the metropolitan press. And we wish to give notice that not least, but most of all men, we appreciate our neighbor and wish her well, and in all instances within our power will herald it forth to the world that in no place in these United States can man find so pleasant a company, so cosmopolitan a hunt, or better accommodations and headquarters for the Winter time, as he can there. What we have is at her command. What she has unique and beautiful, by your leave we will use, and rejoice withal. Polo The polo field was christened the other afternoon by an amateur quartette and the local ponies, led by G. B. Tevis of San Francisco. C. L. Schall of New York, G. R, Raymond from Akron, Ohio, and George Leach made up the game.
