Mrs. C. B. Johnson ably seconded by A. L. Carr chalked up the lowest return, a net 77, and captured the major trophy. They had a scant margin of one stroke over Mrs. Price and H. C- Fownes, win ners of second place. There were three couples finishing in 79 Mrs. M. B. Eyrnes and H. E. Mabbett, Mrs. Judd and J. H. Herring, and Mrs- Scammell and W- C. Fownes, Mrs. Judd worked the rabbit's foot and won the toss and the trophy. Those who expected a wonderful exhi bition by that championship pair, Mrs. Dorothy Campbell llurd and Parker Whittemore, were not disappointed.
