T. Watson in memory of her husband, who was a leading spirit in the club, the Tin Whistles tackled the number one course in full array last Monday after noon. There were fifty-six of the long driving legion in the ranks, lined up on this occasion in handicap medal play. But of them all not a man could be found to keep within brassie distance or earshot of W. G. Wing. This Back Bay favorite selected a substantial handicap of 28, and then proceeded to travel around the course in close imita tion of Francis Ouimet in special exhi bition. And when the hopeful cham pions returned to the clearing house around the big table, where- Becker sits in majesty and announces the results, nobody was found to dispute the 65 net that he had to offer. J. R. Towle of Calumet and L. D. Pierce from Brae Burn wrought havoc with the usual record in Tin Whistle tournaments, and turned up with a pair of very creditable 74s, which were good for the Mac laughlin and club trophies for second and third place. And incidentally Pierce's card of 81 led all the rest. J. Ebb Weir, with a 75 came in just outside of the trophy class, in the van of a close formation, a squad or more tallying 76. The Summary.
