WHITTEMORE AMD THOMPSON Tie for Class a Prize In the Tin Whis tles Yersns Par Tonrney on Wednesday Wnlttemore Meander Over Number One In OH Nearly 70 Tin Whistles turned out to try conclusions with Par on the Num ber One course, on Wednesday, and at tacked the problem in three handicap platoons. Parker W. Whittemore went and broke the record for the course by go ing out in 33 and coming home in 35 for a 68, as follows: Out: 444443334- - 33 In: 4 2 4 3 5 5 4 5 3 - - 35; 68 Just to provide against this sort of thing, Whittemore had been handed a Dlus handicap of 4 strokes, and this pulled him down to 3 down on par, where he tied for the Class A prize with J. M. Thompson. Thompson had a 79 of his own, and Lou Hamilton, who tied with H. B. Lewis and Tom Morrison, at 4 down, went Thompson 3 better, finishing in 76. R. H. Hunt unwillingly obliged our esteemed contemporary, The Worcester Telegram, with a front page story, by comine in on even terms with par and winning the prize in Class B. Hunt went around in 81-11, 70 and was low gross among the medium handicap men. Almon C. Judd won in Class C, com ing in with a net 71 and 2 up. J. G. Nicholson and S. Y.
