vate ceremony at the Hayes
Barton Baptist church.
The bride and groom entered
the church together. For the
ceremony the bride wore a
slate blue crepe jacket dress
with navy blue accessories, and
a corsage of orchids and valley
lilies.
Immediately following the
ceremony, the couple left on a
Northern trip prior to going to
their home in Danville.
Mrs. Porter attended Peace
Junior college, and E. C. T. C,
and is a daughter of Mrs. Al
bert S. Johnson and the late
James Judson Mitchell of Ral

Tuesday night she will teach
the Fellowship club , at the
Presbyterian church. Wednes
day, afternoon the 17th, she
will teach the Ladies of the
Bible Study Class in the Ladies'
Parlor at 3:30 in the Metho
dist Church; and each after
noon thereafter for two weeks.

Wrist Watch, Knife And About
$15 Is Stolen Jan. 5th.
The Rockingham Hardware
was broken into sometime the
night of Jan. 5th and was rob
bed of between $15 and $20,
a wrist watch and a pocket
knife.
It was thought that the
thieves entered the store by
breaking the lock on the back
door and then left by way of
the front door. On Saturday
morning when the store was
opened up the back door was
found bolted but the lock
broken.
