Singing and an Address by Prof. Akers BENEFIT ROANOKE RAPIDS HOSPITAL talent. This concert entertainment is given under the auspices of the Women's Auxiliary Hoard for the benefit of the Roanoke Rap - ids Hospital. It orders continue to be received in the increasing volume of the past few weeks, every indica tion is that the entire Rosemary plant will have resumed full finie operation within the next thirty days. As the Rosemary Manufactur ing Company is the largest manufacturing plant in the com munity, the beneficial effects of its expanding business on the commercial life of the communi ty will be felt forcibly, many new families being required to -tart up machinery now idle and the consequent addition of some thousands of dollars a month to the payroll of the community. En-rylmdy invited to all ser vices. Miss Kattie Cleaton Miss Hattie Cleaton, aged thirteen years died in Rosemary on last Saturday morning. She had been ill for sometime, the nature of the illness being tuber culosis, and her death was not unexpected. The interment took place at the Roanoke Rapids cemetery on last Sunday afternoon. Miss Cleaton was a member of the Rosemary Methodist Sunday School and members of her Sun day School class followed the bier to the grave. Miss Cleaton was a sister of Mrs. Julian Garris, of Rosemary, and had been a resident of this community for about six years. Her brother, Mr. Will Cleation, of Richmond, came here for the funeral. Miss Cleaton was sin cerely admired and respected by all who knew her and her relatives have the sympathy of hosts of friends in their bereavement.
