It is ordinary Ura. The Hiillotin of the United State Department of Agriculture sieakingof the favorable results obtained by the use of Ura says: "It possesses a marked larvicidal action and appear to exert no permanent injury on the fertilizing value of the manure." The Bulletin reckons the co. 1 1 f borax treatment, using ordinary commercial borax costing 5 to t cents per puind, to be one cent per horse per day, and reeom-!mends-about a pound of borax to every 13 cubic feet or 12 bushels of manure immediately after its removal from the stable, or in i other words, about a pound per i horse per week. It further ad j vises the sprinkling of the borax through any fine sieve over the j manure especially around the outer edges if placed in a pile and that the whole be sprinkler! with 3 to 5 gallons of water. While the State Hoard ef Health would not for a moment frown on the use of borax w here Ixirax is necessary, or w here for some reason prompt removal of manure seems out of the ques tion, but attention should be call ed to the danger of trying to use some larvicide to the neglect of ordinary cleanliness.
