"7 7 THESUN Has More Than Double The Circulation of Any Weekly Paper ia The Tenth Congres sional District, Comprising Thirteen Large Counties. 1 VOL. A. NO. J4. RUTHERFORDTON, N. C, THURSDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 6, J904. TOe Sun ftrinte tCbie Week per i Vj -s A -r " y-NW1 i'"'r 1 -( ""; -r- - r ". -i' Wtl. f I ) IJbe ? -,-.. iV- The Sun's Advertisers , Who They Are, Where They Are, And Their Business The Sun Printed Last Week Over 2,500 Copies. THE ZENITH NOT REACHED The Sun Is By No Means The Oldest Paper In The County, But Its Circulation And Advertising Patronage Proves Its Popularity. We are going to give a brief outline of our advertisers, and in the beginning we will say that we are more 1 han proud, of the patronage The Sun is receiving from the business men throughout the land. The Sun is by no means the oldest paper in the county, but its circulation and advertising patronage proves its popu larity. To give you a spattering idea of what The Sun is doing in the way of adver tising, will say it had in its last issue 44 columns of paying advertisements. This is a broad assertion, but we be lieve that we can truthfully say that The Sun has the largest advertising patron age, and double the circulation, of any weekly publication in the Tenth North Carolina Congressional District. The Sun's first edition was a 5-column 8-page paper, or 40 columns, and last, week it reached the high water mark with a 6-column, 12-page or T2 column edition, an increase of 32 columns, and yet the zenith has not been reached. As opportunities present themselves The Sun will, as in the past, take advantage of them, and if they come as fast in the future as they have in the past the time is not far distant until The Sun will not only be the leadiug weekly in the Tenth North Carolina Congressional District, but in the State If you have anything you would like to sell, advertise it in The Sun, for it is read by more than ten thousand people each week. The Sun's readers are a class of people who not only read about the political and social events of the world, butj they read about the bnsiness part, too. When you put an ad in The Sun you have made a good investment, for the time will not be long until you can realize that your business is increasing. Business men, if you have - not tried an ad in The Sun give it a trial, for "the proof of the pudding is the chewing of the string."
