Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to
inquire into the expediency of removing the U
niv ersity from Chapel-Hill to the Seat of Gov
ernment, and into the me tijs of effecting this
obj; ct, and that they report at the next Annual
Meeting of this lizard ! hat said Committee
consist 'of fifteen Members,, one, at least, from
e tch Congressional District, to be selected by
the President of the Bard at his leisure."
The President has subsequently appointed the
