Mr. and Mrs. Graves Day and two daughters, of Stem section, were in Oxford Wednesday. Mrs. Lester Montague and children returned Thursday from a visit to her old home in Wake county. Mrs. J. T. September is doing mighty well and if the following months main tain the same speed we should have some zero weather along about Christmas. The cold wave that is on is call ing for the straw hats, and will say that Long Co. has a choice line of winter hats that will keep your head warm. Miss Norfleet Hunter, who has been teaching several years, has en tered the State University.
