E, Southern Guards, 4 h, N. C.,

ordered to divest ourselves of
all baggage before going into
the fight at "South Mountain",
two days before the battle of

"After using quite a number
of remedies without any bene

There is too little education
along practical lines. Too much
dead, useless knowledge is
taught in most of the schools.
When practical knowledge is
taught more wise minds will
be developed. Many graduates
leave college with their minds
filfed with a mass of useless
things, many of which they
have to unlearn before they
lead successful lives There
are too few school advantages
given North Carolina's chil
dren but when better methods
of teaching are devised--when
more common sense is taught
tie children---the c o m m on
sense of thd tax payer will
make him willing to pa more
tax for schools.

severe a tacks of pain in the
stomach and bowels. One or
two doses of this remedy never
fails to gie perfect relief.
Price 25 and 50 cents; for sale
at Tayloe's Pharmacy.
