SHEARIN Warren Native Made Cashier Directora of Branch Banking and Trust Company ha ve promoted Joe A. Shearin to ass'«tant cashier. Kelly S. King, sénior vice president and city executive, made the announcement for the Raleigh Office. Shearin began consumer credit training in Wallace in 1979 with so me previous experience He is manager of the State University Office. He is a gradúate of John Graham Sénior High School in Warrenton and North Carolina Wesleyan College. He was named to "Who's Who Among American University and College Students" and received the Young Achievers Award from the American Biographical Institute. Shearin is married to the former Paige Brown of Warrenton and is a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He is a member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Visitors Mrs. Geraldine Goens of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Bessie Omohundro of Norfolk, Va., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. McCarroll Ais ton over the holiday period While they were here they attended, with the Alstons, the Walden-Weaver Family Reunión held in Scotland Neck It was a grand occasion with over 300 descendants attending. Mrs. Alston's grandmother waa a Weaver who married a Wal den. Mrs. Goens is her niece and Mrs. Omohundro is her sister-in-law. Revival Services Spencer Thornton and family of South Orange, N. J., Thomas Thornton and family of Newark, N. J., Martha Robinson and Bessie Thornton Oliver and families of Jersey City, N. J. are all expected to support the Rev. William Thornton as he opens revival services at the oíd family church, Pleasant HUI Baptist Church, in Oakville on Sunday, July 12.
