Q1LEND4R Macon Fireman To Soli Stow The Macon Rural Fire Department will sponsor a stew sale on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a. m. at the fire house. The stew will sell for $3.50 per quart. Yard Sola Plant Aro Listod A Yard Sale and Brunswick Stew Sale will be held Saturday, May 4, at Vaughan's Used Car Lot adja cent to The Country Store on UJS. 1 in Norlina. Stew will be ready at 11a.m. and will sell for $3.50 a quart. All profits will be donated to the North Warren ton Baptist Church. Baked goods will also be on sale. Warron Plaint Rovival Sot Warren Plains United Methodist Church will share in revival services May 5-8, with services beginning at 7:30 pjn. each evening. The Rev. Charles Hubbard of Pittsboro will bring the messages. Special music will be provided each night. The public is cordially invited to attend. The church is located in the War ren Plains community north of Warrenton. Woman's Day Plant Aro Mado Ridgeway Baptist Church will celebrate Woman's Day on Sunday, May 5, at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited. Spocial Service Plant Slated A special service honoring Betty, Georgia, and Estelle Green, daughters of the late William and Lala Green, will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 3 p. m. at the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Wise. Special music will be presented by the Mount Zion Young Adult Choir, the Locust Grove Young Adult and Gospel Choir, and the Roanoke Gospel Choir. Friends and relatives of the Greens are invited to attend the service. Barbecue Supper Set Saturday The Norlina Fire Department will sponsor a bar becue supper on Saturday, May 4, from 11:30 a. m. until 8:30 p. m. The plates will include a serving of barbecue, hot buttered potatoes, fresh cole slaw, bread, and tea or coffee and will sell for |3.50. The public is invited to support the project. Board Of Directort To Gather The Twin County Rural Health Center's Board of Directors will hold its regular monthly meeting Mon day, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend. Cancer Society Jail-A-Thon Set The Warren County Chapter of the American Cancer Society is sponsoring its annual Jail-a-Thon on Thursday and Friday, May 9 and 10, at Courthouse Square in Warrenton. "Arrests" will be made both days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Proceeds from "bail" rais ed by those arrested goes to the Cancer Society. Final 'Clean Up Day' Scheduled One more "clean up day" for dogs and cats who have not been inoculated against rabies will be held Saturday, May 4, at the Warren County Landfill on Baltimore Road in Warrenton. Cost is $4 per animal. Vaccinations will be given from 1 to 4 p.m. Flea Market Planned Saturday The Calvary Homemakers Club of Littleton will sponsor a Flea Market on Saturday, May 4, begin ning at 9 a. m. at the clubhouse, adjacent to Calvary United Methodist Church. Items for sale will in clude baked goods and other foods, funnel cakes made while you wait, homemade ice cream, various crafts, painted ducks, fishing gear, clothing, household needs and numerous other treasures. May 11 has been set as the rain date. Youth Choir To Have Anniversary Hie Cook's Chapel Youth Choir of Warren Plains will observe their anniversary on Sunday, May 5, at 5 p. m. Many groups will be participating, and little Miss Alyssa Wright will be the soloist. The pastor, the Rev. W. L. Barnes, and members extend an in vitation to the public. Legion Auxiliary To Have Picnic * The American Legion Auxiliary will hold the family picnic on Thursday, May 2, at 7 p. m. at the Ridgeway Clubhouse. Members are urged to attend and bring food for a covered dish supper. Church Of God Revival Scheduled The Warrenton Church of God revival will begin on Wednesday, May, 1, and continue through Sun day, May 5. Services will begin at 7 p. m. nightly and the guest minister will be the Rev. Joseph Phillips of Dunn. There will be special music each night The public is invited. Parent-Teacher Conferences Set Parents of Warren County High School students are encouraged to visit their students' teachers on Tuesday, May 7, from 34:90 p. m. Barnes, speeding 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed. William Bottoms, violation of court order, called and failed, arrest order issued, bond set at >75. Mack Bullock, assault by pointing a gun, com municating threats, trespassing without a license, and assault with a deadly weapon, not guilty. Cerelle Burton, speed ing 70 in 55 mph zone, called and failed, dismissed with leave by the prosecutor. Herbert Carter, assault and battery, Or der to Show Cause to be issued if defendant found not in compliance.
