Long di- d at his home in Statesville Satur day afternoon at 1:45 o'clock, death resuiting from a stroke of paralysis which he suffered an hour earlier. The stroke affect ed his right side. He had been in failing health for some time, having recently returned from Philadelphia where he consulted a specialist. ! He was a sufferer from htgh I blood pressure.
