Friday, July 1, 1949 Notice of Sale The Town of Zebulon will offer for sale at public auction to the highest bidder, for cash, on the premises, on Monday, July 11, 1949, at 1 o’clock p.m., the follow ing described Town lot owned by the Town of Zebulon: Located on Horton Avenue in the Town of Zebulon One lot measuring 75 feet on Horton Avenue by 100 feet in a line parallel with Arendell Avenue, said lot being a part of lots No. 17 and 18 in block 17 as shown by the map of the Town of Zebulon. The following conditions attach to this sale, said conditions to be incorporated in the deed of con veyance to the purchaser. Purchaser will be required to erect on said lot, within one year from the date of the delivery of this deed, a building or buildings constructed of brick, stone, cement or other fire resistant material as will when completed pass inspec tion, and otherwise meet all regu lations and requirements of the State Fire Underwriters Associa tion, and regulations covering the construction of buildings within the fire district of the Town of Zebu lon, said building or buildings when erected to cost not less than $8,000.00. If the purchaser should fail to comply with the above con ditions, then the property would automatically, at the expiration of said date, revert to the town. The successful bidder will be re quired to make a deposit in cash for an amount equal to 10% of the bid, and if said bid is accepted, the same will be confirmed by the Board of Commissioners at a spec ial meeting on the 12th day of July at 8 o’clock p.m., called for the purpose of accepting or rejecting said bid. For the Highest Dollar Every Sale AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING $70,000 STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Zebulon: Section I. That, pursuant to The Municipal Finance Act, 1921, as amended, bonds of the Town of Zebulon shall be issued in an ag gregate principal amount not ex ceeding $70,000 for the purpose of constructing or reconstruction the surface of streets in said Town, in cluding the contemporaneous con struction or reconstruction of curbs gutters and drains, and in cluding grading. Section 2. That a tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of said bonds shall be annually levied and collected. Section 3. That a statement of the debt of the Town has been filed with the clerk and is open to pub lic inspection. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect when approved by the voters of the Town at an elec tion as provided by law. The foregoing ordinance was passed on the 21st day of June, 1949, and v/as first published on the Ist day of July, 1949.
