Page Two PERSONAL ITEMS Friends of Mrs. Maylon Temple will be glad to know that she is just beginning to get out a little, after being sick since September. Mr. and Mrs. W. O Poole and daughter, Linda, and Miss Mary Pace from Brooklyn arc spending some time with Mr Poole’s sister, Mrs Ashley Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Hichard Scarboro and family and Mr. and Mrs. Mar shal) Jones and family spent last weekend at Carolina Beach. Misses Irma Walker and Rebe kah Talbert who are working on their Masters’ Degrees at Carolina, spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Wade. Bobbie Bridgers has returned from a week’s visit to Sanford. Mrs. Howard Armstrong of Washington D. C arrives today t > remain until after the Jones- Bridgers wedding on July 15. Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Coltrane and Dr. and Mrs. Tom Kilkellv of Greensboro spent last week at Blowing Rock, and Fontana Vil lage and Gatlinburg, Tenn. Mrs. Ferd Davis and children spent last weekend in Wake For est with her sister, Mrs. Hall Mill er Leary Davis has been spending the week in Kinston with his grandmother. Mrs. Ann Harris. Miss Wilma Ferebee of Norfolk. •Va., is sending this week with the Garland Godwins. Pvt Robert Potter of Camp Gor don. Ga., visited relatives in Zeb ulon last weekend. Mrs. Edith Freeze and Frank spent July 4 in Enfield. Bob Vance Brown left Thurs day to join his parents in Ashe ville. Mrs. Gordon Temple and chil dren spent Sunday in Selma. Keith Temple and Mickey Ar nold returned Saturday from Camp Donlee near New Bern. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beck and family are spending this week in the mountains. Little Faye Finch has been quite sick this week with ulcerated ton sils. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wood have moved into the home of Mrs. M. C. Carter. Mrs. Lawrence Tracy of Green ville spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. William Bunn. Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Alford of Chicago, 111., Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Alford and children of Jackson ville. Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Proctor Alford of Whitakers, and Mr. and Mrs. Vermont Johnson of Hamp ton, Va., are visiting relatives in Zebulon. Ricky Harrow of Jacksonville, Fla., spent Monday and Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. James Alford. Mr. and Mrs. Riggsby Massey and Mr. and Mrs. Pat Farmer toured the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smoky Mountains during the holidays. Misses Gayle Privette, Betty Ann Smith, and Martha Temple leave this morning for two weeks at Girl Scout Camp. Mrs. J. W. Mrs. William Stroud of Greens boro visited Mrs. Allan Pippin for several days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winstead of Raleigh spent Monday and Tues day with Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lowry. Mr. David Jones and Michael Keep of Forest City are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Carl Matheney. The Francis Wades are spending the week in Morehead City. Dr. and Mrs. Durwood Stallings, Jr., announce the birth of a son, July 3, at Watts Hospital in Dur ham. The Cub Scouts of Zebulon will play the Cub Scouts of Wendell in baseball at 7:30 p. m. tonight at Wendell. Softball Play Clayton Whitley’s homerun in the bottom of the seventh with two men out and one on base gave the Scribes a 16-15 victory over the Beck Brothers team Mon day night.
