Friday July 3, 1953 BETHANY Many Visits Paid In Bethany Section During Last Week Mrs. Mabel Williford There were 111 at Sunday School Sunday. Mr. Leroy Moody is improving after a long illness. The W. M. U. held their Week of Prayer Tuesday night in the annex. I am keeping my little nephew while his parents, the Maynard Puryears of Youngsville are va cationing at Wrightsville Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Connell had dinner with Mrs. Roxie Jones Sun day. Mrs. Allie Strickland of Wen dell is spending a coude of weeks with Mrs. Charlie Horton. She re cently celebrated her 88th birthday. Mrs. Dorsey Williford of Ral eigh spent last Friday with Mrs. Lewis Williford. Mr. Fred Mangum of Ft. Jack son spent a seven day furlough here with his wife recently. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Puryear and children and Mrs. John Moody were Saturday night visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Lennie Williford. Mrs. Edd Woodall and family visited the Kearney Faisons Sun day. Mrs. W. C. Colleman of Hope well, Va., visited her sister, Mrs. Roxie Jones, recently. Little Miss Sandra Williford spent Friday night with Betty Pur year. Mr. and Mrs. William Young and baby were Saturday supper guests of the Jim Coleys. Mr. Delano Pearce spent Sun day with Edward and Allan Wil liford. Mr. Charles Davis was home from Ft. Jackson, S. C., for the week. He and his wife and Mr. i and Mrs. Samuel Davis visited the Bill Davises Sunday. Mrs. Marvin Scarboro and chil dren spent the weekend with the Z. C. Bissetts and attended the Bissett-Blackard wedding. The Lennie Willifords and chil dren visited the F. E. and A. O. The Zebulon Record Puryears Friday night. Mrs. Ira Dean and Edward vis ited us Monday afternoon. The Roscoe Perrys went to Buggs Island recently.
