Misses Annie Mav and Polk McGee- hee, " who are attending St. Mary's school of Raleigh, 'were here on a visit to their mother, Mrs. George McGee hee, on last suuday and Monday. Dr. H- W Chase and Mr? Geo. M. Sneath were initiated into tne Philan thropic society on last' Saturday night. Both of these gentlemen made sbot addresses before the society. Miss Dora McRae is Jvisiti ng her cousin, Mrs. E. J. Lilly, in Fayette ville, N. C. Before returning home Miss McRae will visit Mrs. John C. Lamb, in'Wilson, N. C. Mr. Cameron McRae, of Greenville, S. C, has been on a visit here to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McRae. Mr. McRae is now travelling for the Arobal Manufacturing Company, of New York. . t -'' Messrs J. B. Colvard, F. N. Cox, J. S. Cowles and "Ike" Moser, all went to their respective .homes for yester day's election. Norfolk, with first car leaving Norfolk 9:00 p. m., Sunday November 6th, and first car leaving Goldsboro at 10:15 p. m., Mon day, November 7th. Thjs car will be operated on Night Express trains Nos. S and 6 between Norfolk and Choco winity, and new trains Nos. 15 and 16 between Chocowinity and Goldsboro,; arriving at Goldsboro 6:30 a. m., con necting with all lines, and arriving' at; Norfolk at 7:30 a. m. J Night Express train No. 6, at present leaving Raleigh at 9:00 p. m.; will leave at 9:15 p. m., and arrive at Norfolk at 7:30 a. in. : i ' . Train No. 2 will leave New Bern as at present and arrive in Norfolk at 3:35 . m., in time to make connection to Richmond and all points West. Trains Nos; 3 and 4, between Norfolk and Edenton, will be reversed and operated daily from' Norfolk to Edenton, leaving Norfolk 8:35 a. m., arrive Edenton 11:30 a. m. Leave Edenton 2:50 p. m., and arrive Norfolk 5:45 p. tn., in time to connect with all steamer lines. ' Vi , : Beaufort District , train No. 9, at present leaving Beaufort at 4:50 p.m., will leave Beaufort at 4:00 p. m., and arrive Goldsboro at 8:00 p. in.
