Diary of a Mad Housewife-Richard
Benjamin is very poor and his

the drippy final scene, but most of it is
hilarious, due to bright comedy lines,
inventive direction, and Barbra Streisand.
The incomparable Barbra just keeps

The Aristocats One of the best Disney
cartoon features. The plot smacks heavily
of 101 Dalmations and Lady and the
Tramp, but it is the animal characters
that matter, and here they are delightful
and charming. Go back a few years and
enjoy.-D, G
2001: A Space Odyssey This must be
the most boring great movie ever made,
but a great movie it truly is. Every facet
of the production reeks with brilliance,
and each new viewing will uncover
something else. Kubrick's snail pacing
just does not matter. R
Tora, Tora, Tora The first hour of this is
not a movie, but a dull, confused, and
skimpy history lesson, with actors stiffly
explaining everything to each other. After
that, it picks up, almost in spite of itself.
