Theatre The Gallery Theatre of the Art School presents Tennessee Williams' classic, The Glass Menagerie, on June 8-10, at the Art School Gallery, 150 East Main Street, Carrboro. The play is directed by Denise Ford of the UNC Drama Department. The Station Saloon in Carrboro presents Mountain Whispers, a dramatic interpretation of a mountain ballad about love and jealousy performed by The Road Company, a group of seven actormusicians from Johnson City, Tennessee. Performances are June 9 and 10 at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. at the Station. Admission is $2.50. Renowned bass-baritone William Warfield will appear in concert with the North Carolina Chamber Players on Monday, June 12, to open the Loblolly Chamber Music Concert Series at Duke. Warfield will perform Facade, by William Walton, with words by Edith Sitwell, and Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat. The concert is the first of five chamber concerts to be presented on consecutive Mondays in Baldwub Auditorium at 8:15 p.m. Season tickets are $12.00 and may be purchased at Page Box Office.
