Capt. M. P. Taylor, commanding the Wilmington Light Infantry, then ap peared in front of his command, and in a few appropriate remarks, grace fully spoken, returned the thanks of the Company for the .courtesies . shown them, and hoped to.-.reciprocatij at no distant day. - ; The W. L. I. then gave three che'ers lor Or. Moore,, for the city of Charlotte and fur the Hornets Nest Riflemen. The latter company in turn gave three cheers for the W. L. I. The two companies, preceded by the Wilmington' Cornet Band marched in double file to he Central Hotel. Ar rived ther,e, both, companies disbanded. The remainderj: of the evening was spent in social converse in the hotel. The Wilminglon boys ,make a fine appearance and a more jolly or a clev- ercr set ot lellows arc not o be found anywhere.
