Obituaries Theodore Roosevelt “Buddy” Shaw WINDSOR - Theodore Roosevelt “Buddy” Shaw, Jr. 73 of Sterlingworth Street, Windsor, NC, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Three Rivers Health &| Rehabilitation in Wind sor, NC. Buddy was bom in Windsor, NC on April 23,1943, to the late 'Theo dore Roosevelt Shaw and Jeannette Sessoms Shaw. Buddy attended UNC Chapel HiU and was an avid Tarheel fan. Early in Buddy’s career, he was employed by the Mideast Commission writing grants for various municipali ties in eastern NC. During his years of service as a Windsor Town Commissioner, he was responsible for initiating multiple beautification projects. Bud dy was a member of the Historic Hope Commis sion. For over 20 years, he operated the Pool & Spa Shop in Windsor, NC. Buddy’s most satisfying investment was scout ing. He served as the Advisor of the Explorer Post 104 for approximately 16 years. He served ^ the Chapter Advisor of the Wiccacon Chapter of the Order of the Arrow and was a \Tgil Honor member. A memorial service wiU be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at St. 'Thomas Episcopal Church in Windsor, NC. He is survived by his sister, Mary Shaw Mardre, his nephew, George Lewis Mardre, V, Ids nieces, Mary Jeannette Mardre Moseley, Barrett Roberson Mardre, and many close friends.
