The first games were played on the field on May 26, 2008. bi rth: COIINIT KDRAI, llllAITil ASSOCIATION At the May 25, 2017 Bertie County Rural Health Association board meeting, Robert Barkley Spivey was recognized as a strong and supportive member of the board. Spivey was a member of the Bertie County Rural Health Association Board of Directors, beginning in 1992. He has served continuously for the last 25 years. During Mr. Spivey’s tenure on the board he has served faithfully on many committees and has definitely been an asset to BCRHA. Mr. Spivey expressed to the Board of Directors that he have served on numerous boards in his lifetime but Bertie County Rural Health Association is one of the most dedicated and committed boards’ that he has ever served on. He expressed how well ran the organization has been and attributed its success to the strong Board and staff. Mr. Spivey concluded his comments with “ he will always cherish the memories of serving on the Board of Directors.” Mr. Norman Cherry Board Chair along with the board members presented Mr. Spivey a plaque honoring his years of service.
