MITCHELL. ltC-A9 Mrs. Amanda Y ounce Dies April 7 Mrs. Amanda Cansler Younce 75, died at her home in Burnr ningtown, Tuesday, April 7, as a result of a stroke of paralysis. A daughter of the late John and Eliza Grant Cansler, she was borr.. in Swain county but moved with her parents to Macon county when she was a child. She married Mark Younce of Burningtown, who died in 1901. She was a member of Iotla Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Wed nesday afternoon at 3 p. in. at Burningtown Baptist church, with the Rev. George A. Cloer officiat ing. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ferdie Higdon, of Franklin, and Mrs. Grover Woody, of Burningtown; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Sallie Welch of Franklin, route 3. Pallbearers were Verlon Reeves, Jural Smith, Hunter Rowland, Andrew Reeves, Wood row Poin dexter, and John Dills. About fruits and vegetables: Eat raw fruits and vegetables often. The meeting was opened with the Motto and the Laws. Plans for our bicycle trip were discussed. We plan to meet at the red light at 430 and ride out the Murphy road on Friday. It was also decided that we would help the Boy Scouts collect paper. Knitting sweaters and other articles out of scrap wool was sug gested. As there has been no work as yet of merit badges, we plan to .start this week working on drama tics. Each one of the scouts is supposed to prepare a talk on a subject that interests her for the next meeting. After the business meeting was over, Mrs. Wardlaw gave two readings: "Pop and the Boy", and "Fleas"'. How can early grazing be Secured from soybeans ? A. Biloxi soybeans, seeded in early April and fertilized with 300 to 400 pounds of a 3-8-6 fertilizer, will provide abundant grazing by early June.
