Telephone 211 MISS ROLAND ENGAGED TO GREENSBORO MAN Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Margaret Elizabeth Roland, of Greensboro, daughter of Mrs. W. G. Roland, of Franklin, and the late Mr. Roland, to Charles Wilbur Causey, of Greensboro. The wedding is planned De cember 26 in Greensboro. Miss Roland is a Franklin High school graduate, class of 1951, and is employed in the mail order plant at Sears-Roe buck company in Greensboro. Mr. Causey, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Causey, of Greens boro, Route 8, and a sergeant in the N. C. National guard, works at the Carolina Loom Reed company there. . ; j PERSONALS Mrs. Harriett Echols has re turned home from Newport News, Va., where she has been visiting her son and daughter in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Echols. Mrs. Tom Hegge, of Winston Salem, is yisiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Justice, on Route 4. Mrs. Alba Price, of Braden ton, Fla., is visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. I. T. Peek. Mrs. Tom Johnston has been notified that her sister, Mrs. Leverett Ropes, of Helena, Mont., is critioally ill. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Perry and small son, of Kinston, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Horner Stockton. Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Dowdle ) spent the week-end in Atlanta, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Hooper and two children, of Dillsboro, have moved here and are re siding in an apartment in the Hall in the Pines. Miss Amanda Slagle, of Sylva, and Miss Lucy Slagle, of At lanta, Ga., spent the week-end at their home on Cartoogechaye. Francis S. Leopard, AT2, has rejoined his ship, the U.S.S. Philippine Sea, after a month's leave at home. The U.S.S. Phil ippine Sea will leave for Korean waters in December. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Lichten stein have returned home from Detroit, Mich., where they took, Mrs. George Llchtensteln and Miss TUlle Lotspelch, who have been their guests for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hunni cutt and three sons, who have been living in McCall, Idaho, lor the past year, have moved to Montgomery, Ala. Miss Lillian Jones, of Atlanta, Ga., spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gil mer Jones. She was accompani ed back to Atlanta by her moth er for a short visit.
