C. Highlands readers may still turn news into the students until the end of the present school term. News, subscriptions (new and renewals), and advertising will be handled by Mrs. Paxton, the former Miss Sarah Hall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tudior N. Hall. Subscribers are urged to turn news and advertising copy over to Mrs. Paxton not later than Monday morning, in order to meet the news paper's deadlines for this ma terial. MRS. ROBERTS GIVES PARTY AT NEW HOME Mrs. Malcomb Roberts enter tained friends last Thursday afternoon at her recently com pleted home on Nialad Terrace, with a luncheon followed by an afternoon of bridge. Three tables were in play, after which prizes were pre sented to Miss Sara Gilder, high score; Mrs. Wilton Cobb, sec ond high; Mrs. Charles Potts, third high; and Mrs. E. R. Gil bert, bingo. CLARKS ARE BUILDING Mr. and Mrs. Harper Clark, of Palm Beach, Fla., are build ing an eight-room home on Bear Pen Mountain. Hubert Wilson is in charge of con struction and expects to com plete it for summer occupancy. Mr. and Mrs. Clark, who are now at the C. C. Potts guest house, are well-known here, having spent their vacations in Highlands for a number of years. POTTS' NEW HOME Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Potts' new home on the Walhalla Road is being constructed by S. E. Potts, contractor. The one story, five-room house is ex pected to be ready for occu pancy by May 15. PARTNERSHIP DISSOLVED After 19 years of business, John D. Burnette has retired from Talley and Burnette Groc ery. H. S. Talley will continue to operate the store under the name of H. S.
