Sanders, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Sanders, of the West Union Community. The wedding will take place In November. Church Women Plan Seminar At Mt. Zion The seminar of the Woman's Society of Christian Service, for the Methodist churches of Ma con County will be held today (Thursday) at the Mt. Zion Church on Cartoogechaye, be ginning at 10 a. m. Each person Is asked to bring lunch. The meeting will be ad journed at 1 o'clock. All officers and members of the society are urged to attend. Boardman, Harry Board man, and Miss Ethel Boardman, all of Philadelphia, Pa., and Mrs. Mary B. Widener, Mrs. Mabel B. Henton, Miss Eliza beth Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Peterson, and Ernest Brown, all of Daytona Beach, Fla. Miss Whltaker's cousins all stayed at the home of Mrs. Roy G. Beshears. Mrs. George Bryson and granddaughter, of Houston, Tex., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Christy last week. John Alsup, who is stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., spent the week-end here with Lee and ; Emory Crawford. Dr. and Mrs. Cecil Mann and daughter, Miss Jennifer Mann, left today (Thursday) for New Orleans, La., after spending the summer months at their home on Wayah Road. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Shelley, of Lake Helen, Fla., spent several days here last week visiting rel atives and friends. Purr, Jr., and children, of Cleveland, Ohio, were guests last week of Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Furr. They went to Miami, Fla., to Join Dr. W. E. Furr, Jr., there. Miss Audrey Conley, of Ral eigh, spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Conley. Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Dowdle and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Dowdle's mother, Mrs. David Hall, in Sylva. Mrs. Hall arrived home Sunday morning from a trip to Europe. Favorite Recipes Of MACON WOMEN LEMON ICE BOX PIE 1 small can evaporated milk 2 eggs Vh cup fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon grated lemon pi V2 cup sugar Spiced crumbs Pour milk Into ice cube tr and chill until crystals start form. Separate eggs. Mix yol with sugar, lemon Juice a; grated peel. Beat egg whit stiff, then lightly mix in yc mixture. Turn chilled milk lr bowl, beat stiff and carefu fold into egg mixture. Pour 1 to ice cube tray lined wi spiced crumbs. Swirl top, dec rate with lemon peel twists a: freeze. Spiced crumbs: To % c crisp toast crumbs, add V4 c brown sugar, y2 teaspoon ni meg, Va teaspoon allspice, 1 te spoon cinnamon, V* teaspo ground cloves, and '/? teaspo ground cloves, and V* teaspo ginger.
