Garden Club Now Planning For Annual Tour And Show The Highlands Garden Club is completing plans for its two main events of the summer, a garden tour and a "Parade of Stars", or the flower show. The tour, scheduled for August 5 and 6, will cover 12 to 14 homes and gardens which will be divided, as last year, in two groups; Tour A and Tour B, allow ing visitors a choice, or a more comprehensive view, if they wish to take both tours. Some of the estates of last summer's tours will be included, but the greater per centage will be different. Trans portation will again be furnished. Mrs. Harvey Trice is chairman of this project, Mrs. John H. C. Perry, co-chairman, Mrs. J. Man son Valentine, publicity chairman, and Mrs. Robert DuPree in charge of transportation. { The flower show, "Parade of j . Other civic projects also will re- \ ceive donations. v Will Show Movies Here On the evening of July 14 at 8 o'clock at the Highlands Mu seum building, two film features on wild fowl will be shown. "Out of the North", a color movie of the story of wild fowl, and "Prairie Wings", also in color, best known of all the water fowl movies, are on the program. Conducting Enlargement Campaign At Highlands Miss Henrietta Ried, of Greens boro. is conducting an enlarge ment campaign for the Highlands Baptist Church, training union this week. Classes are being held each night at 7:30 p. m.. with Miss Ried as instructor for the adults and young people, and Mrs. D. A Rhodes for the juniors. Miss Ried attended Duke Uni versity. Durham, and is working this summer with 15 other col lege students who are conducting enlargement campaigns in various Western North Carolina churches.
