Higdon, Mrs. William Dinnes, and Miss Gladys Sellers were hostesses to the Franklin Garden Club at its meeting Tues day afternoon of last week at the home of Mrs Higdon. The program included a round table discussion on the entries in the recent flower show. On the panel were Mrs. E. S. Purdon, Mrs. Gilmer Jones, Mrs. Ted Reber. and Mrs. W. E. Furr. Mrs. S. R. Simpson was moderator. She also spoke on fall bulb planting. It was decided four club mem bers would attend the district meeting to be held in Asheville on September 12. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Holland Mc Swain. Mrs. Steve Bundy and Mrs. J. E. Perry, Jr., will be hostesses at that meeting on October 1.
