The Ladies' Missionary Society of the church is having a quilting party today (Thursday) for the parsonage, at the home of Mrs. John Bryson. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Corbin had for week-end guests their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Corbin, of Mars Hill. Mrs. Eva Corbin has returned to her home at Higdonville after spending some time visiting her son and daughter-in-law. Dr. and Mrs. Flirman Corbin, in Bryson City. Mrs. Bertie Suttle and son, Dan ny, acompanied Mrs. Ethel Home to Brooksville, Fla., for a few days visit last week. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Bryson, of Cullasaja community, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at their home. Last Tuesday Mrs. Freeman Watts, and his two small chil dren, have gone to New York en route to Ulm, Germany, to join her husband, Sgt. Freeman Watts, serving with the OS. Army there. Charlie Hicks Joins Radio Staff Here Charlie Hicks, a native of Rob binsville and former announcer with radio station WWTT in Can ton, has joined the staff of WFSC here.
