Wandering In West's Mill Mr. and Mrs. Albert McLean, of Ashevllle. visited relative* here last 8unday. Among those they visited were Miss Vonnie West -and Mr. and Mrs. C. N. West. Mrs. Claude Parrish, of Bryson City, recently visited her mother, Mrs. J. M. Morgan and other rela tives here. Mr. J. E. Gibson, of Ohio and Winston-Salem, was here on busi ness over the week end. The Methodist Church here was very glad Indeed to have the young Rev. Mr. Wilson again to help in the Vacation Bible Schook and to preach last Sunday. Mr. Wilson Is a senior at Duke Uni versity next year. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peek and family, of Macon, Ga., spent the week end with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Owens and two children, of West Ashevllle visited his mother. Mrs. Clara Owens, and family over the week end. Mrs. Carl Sorrels and Miss Von nle West went to Sylva on busi ness last Thursday. The Rev. and Mrs. C. C. Welch, of Tuckaseigee, were here on busi- ' ness recently. Mrs. Jim Ramsey and small daughter, Jann, of Columbus, spent the week end with her par .ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. West. The Music Study Club will meet with Mrs. Clara Owens and Miss Vonnie West on July 15th at 1 o'clock. We welcome the new minister, the Rev. Miles, and Mrs. Miles and their small daughter to the North Macon Circuit. We believe that with the cooperation of his members, he will do a great work next year. We are sorry to give up The Rev. Heafner and his family, but we believe_ he has a great new field of service where he is now stationed near Greens boro. Mr. and Mrs. Thea Wells and son. Dale, of Detroit. Mich., re turned home Thursday aftei spending a week with Mrs. Wells' 1 sister, Mrs. Edd Sheffield, and Mr. Sheffield and daughters, Nancy and Jeanne. The Bible Schools, which re cently closed at the Cowee Bap tist Church and the Methodist Church here, were well attended, well planned, and well carried out. Great interest was shown. The Christian, moral, and educa tional influence has greatly helped to make better communities.
