Parrlsh., one of Ma can county's few nonagenar ians, died November 24 at 5 a. m., at the home of Jiis daugh ter, Mrs. Halite Duvall. of Franklin, Route 3. A farmer, he was 94 years old and had been ill only a short time. Funeral services were con ducted the afternon of the 26th at the Bumln?rtown Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Officiating were the Rev. Bill Sorrells and the Rev. Jud Duvall. Burial was In Woodlawn Cemetery. Born Oct. 23, 1866. Mr. Par rish was the son of Nat and Mrs. Martha Jane Parrlsh. He was married in 1890 to Miss Beulah Porter, of this county. Survivors include a son, T. Ralph Parrlsh, of Brevard: three daughters, Mrs. Hallie Duvall, Mrs. W. E. Baldwin, and Mrs. Vernon Pruitt, all of Route 3; three brothers, Jim, Edd, and R. L. Parrish, all of Route 3; two sisiters, Mrs. Ju lia Calloway, of Franklin, and Mrs. Carrie Lyle. of Peck, ( Idaho: 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren ; 10 great great grandchildren ; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Forrest j Huggins, Mrs. Earnest Hug- i Miss Bradley, Maconian, Dies At Needmore Miss Alva Bradley, 80, of Needmore, died November 22 at Needmore. Funeral services for Miss Bradley, who was a Macon County native, were held the ? afternoon of the 23rd at the Oak Grove Baptist. Church, of which she was a member. Of ficiating were the Rev. Jud Duvall, the Rev. George Cloer, and the Rev. C. C. Welch. Bur ial was in the Oak Grove cemetery. Daughter of Morris and Mrs. A1 lie Burnett Bradley, she was born April 23, 1880. Surviving are a brother, Barley Bradley, of Franklin, Route 3. and a sister, Mrs. Bob Breedlove, of Needmore. Pallbearers were John Clark, Fred Bradley. Arlen Bradley. IS ENGAGED The engagement of Miss E. Carolyn Holland to Bobby Lee Hortsell has been announced by Miss Holland's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Beulon M. Holland, of Franklin. Mr. Hortsell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hortsell. of Charlotte. The wedding will take place Decem ber 3 at the First Assembly of God Church in Charlotte. A graduate of Franklin High School, Miss Holland is em ployed by the North Carolina National Bank in Charlotte. Mr. Hortsell is stationed at Fort Richardson. Alaska, with the U. S. Army. MRS.
