C. Fill out the Nomination Blank below with your name or the name of the man or woman you wish to enter. Bring or mail this blank to The Pilot, Aberdeen, N. C., and 10,000 votes will be given the entrant. Any reputable man, or woman or child over the age of 14, is eligible to enter and compete for any of the prizes. This campaign is to be conducted for new and’ renewal paid-in-advance subscriptions. The Pilot reserves the right to reject nominations and limit the number thereof. Nominations may be made orally and at any time. The winners of the prizes will be decided by their ^iccredited votes, said votes being rep resented by ballots issued on subscriptions and coupons clipped from this paper. Cash must accompany all orders where votes are desired. Votes cannot be purchased. Every cent accepted through the campaign department must represent a subscription. No subscription accepted for less than one year nor more than five years in advance during the campaign. Votes are not transferrable, and candidates will not be permitted to withdraw in favor of another candidate. Should a candidate wish to withdraw from the race, his or her votes will be cancelled. Any collusion on the part of candidates to nullify competition or any other combination formed to detriment of candidate, or this news paper, will not be tolerated. Votes issued on subscriptions may be held in reserve and cast at the discretion of candidates or this newspaper up to and including the last day of the campaign. This newspaper guarantees fair and impar tial treatment of all participants, but should any question arise the decision of the Advisory Board will be absolute and final. Candidates, who remain ACTIVE to the fin ish, but fail to win one of the regular prizes offered, will be paid 10 per cent commission on all subscription money turned into their account. It is distinctly understood however., that in the event any candidate becomes INACTIVE failing to make a regular report, he or she will become disqualified and thereby forfeit all right to a prize or commission. To insure absolute fairness in the awarding of prizes, the race will be brought to a close un der a sealed ballot box. During the entire last period of the campaign, a locked and sealed ballot box will repose in the vaults of a local bank, where candidates and their friends will de posit their final collections and reserve votes. Under this plan no one, not even the campaign manageik can possibly know the voting strength of the various candidates, which precludes any possibility of favoritism and insures fairness to the minutest degree. Twenty-five thousand Extra Votes will be allowed candidates for every five-year subscrip tion during their first ^o weeks of the cam paign. No salaried employe of The Pilot, nor any member of any employee’s immediate family, except correspondents and agents, can compete for any of the prizes. The campaign officially opens Monday, Nov. 10, 1930 and closes Dec. 22, 1930. However, can didates may start their campaigns for votes im mediately.
