J. V. McF.VYDEN, HOKE COUNTY KESIDKNT, DIES J. V. McFayden, well known Hoke county resident, passed away at High- sraith Hospital in Fayetteville Fri day night following an illness of sev eral months. The funeral was conducted for the First Presbyterian Church in Fayette ville at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, and interment was in Cross Crekk cemetery. Mr. McFayden was 65 years o£ age and unmarried. He made iiis home with a brother, Alex McFayden, of Vass route 2. Other relatives surviv ing include four brothers, J. F. and N". L. McFayden of Fayetteville, A. B. and D. B. McFayden of Raeford; threa sisters. Miss McFayden of Vass route 2, Mrs. Alex McDiarmid of Parkton, and Mrs. C. H. Graham af Fayetteville. Aberde^'n School Notes Principal R. C. Zimmerman is speadily recovering from an appendi citis operation which he underwent at the Moore County Hospital last week. The Self-Improving Club enjoyed a party at the Community House last Friday night.
