One critic who saw its preview in California, said: “Previewed to the trade press and a capacity paid aud ience which laughed so long and so loudly and so often that a good deal of the dialogue was drowned out but no observer within earshot of the auditorium could doubt that a grand time was being had by all.” Miss Dur bin is ably seconded by Charles I Laughton as a crusty and crafty old! millionaire, who Is supposed to die in! the opening scene ’but gets well in- j stead. Here is that type of motion picture entertainment that knows no bounds in audience appeal. It has a rich, yet simple, humor and a fresh charm about it that gives the on looker whether 16 or 60, a feeling of well being. Informal Board (Continued from page one) tr found it necessary before to cen sor the pictures; therefore the city has no local laws for the purpose. It is agreed that nfotion pictures at their best are non^ too good. If they are to be brought to' us in their cheap est and worst form-, it is time for of ficial action by the city.” Special!
