Local and Personal Mr. and Mrs. Godwin Dunning, of A ulander, attended the races Satur day afternoon and visited Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Dunning. Rev. E. fi. Dodd will leave tonight for Fayetteville where he will attend the Methodist Conference which will begin tomorrow and last through the eighteenth. He will be accompanied by Mr. J. L. Pritchard, of Hamilton, whg will represent the Hamilton church. Miss Wille Sknner spent the week end at her home in Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Peel and Mrs. S. S. Lawrence and lttle daughter, Daisy, spent Sunday with Mr. Law rence in Rocky Mount. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hight spent Sun day with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Faulk ner in Rocky Mount Mr. Earl Wynne spent the week end in Norfolk. Miss Inex Williams, of Roanoke Rapids visited friends in the county last week. • Mr. Julius S. Hassell accompanied his brother, Theodore Hassell, to the Washington Hospital Sunday after noon.
