Death 'Of Mr. Richard Daniels With sadness and sorrow in my heart I will attempt to announce the death of our friend and neighbor Richard Daniel, he was born in Granville on May 18th, 1679, sin) departed this life on October 16th, 1921, maHng his stay on earth 46 years, 4 months and 22 days. Every thing was done. Richard told me that he joined the Methodist church while living in Granville county, and lived a consistent member for a good while. Then getting into bad company he was led astray. But in his last sickness he seemed to love his Savior more and more. ' a -' J . He talked about praying to the Lord as best he could, and loved so much to have Christian people to come to see him and pray with him, talk about God's wonderful love and eternal things not down here He complained but very little about his affliction and suffering the sixteen weeks that he was confined to his bed. We hope that our loss is his eternal gain and we pray God's richest bless ings and protection upon Mrs. Daniel's and her sweet little babe. His funeral was preached by Elder E. D. Dodd, and his body was laid to rest in the family burying ground near Williamston. Sleep on Richard, tal*- your rest. For the good Lord knoweth what for us is best. G S MOORE.
